Fares depend on the number of stations you travel, from ₹10 (1 or 2 stations) to ₹90 (26 or more). A smart card (or NCMC card) takes 5% off the token fare in peak hours and 10% off at other times. Peak hours are 8 am to 12 noon and 4 pm to 9 pm, Monday to Saturday; what counts is when you enter. Sundays and 26 January, 15 August and 2 October are off-peak all day.
